Press the DISPLAY/STATUS/EXIT button. PROGRAM WAS COMPLETED/PLEASE PUSHTIMER-SET FOR TIMER RECORD- ING will appear on the screen briefly. (If PROGRAM NOT COM- PLETED appears,try againfrom step I.)

Press the TIMER SET button. The TIMER SETlight will appear on the front of the DVD/VCR.The DVD/VCR will be in standby

mode. If you turn on the DVD/VCR power,the DVD/VCR isin DVD mode.You can use the DVD features.

If the timer recording will take place severalhours or daysfrom now,

you mayuse the DVD/VCR until time for the recording. Pressthe TIMERSETbutton to place the DVD/VCR in standby mode a few minutes before the recording starts.

If you forget to place the DVD/VCR in standby mode, PLEASEPUSH TIMER-SETFORTIMER RECORDING flasheson yourTV screen two minutes before a timer recording starts. Pressthe CLEAR but- ton to remove the message.ThenpresstheTIMERSET button,
