If you wish to use the Watch or the Listen Ä button on the remote control to select a video or audio program, the front panel display will show the program number and its associated source, (Figures FPD-4 or FPD-5), and the on-screen display (Figures OSD-12 or OSD-13) will display a choice of six video or audio program profiles, respectively. These may be the factory-set default pro- files, as described in Appendix A, or may be the program profiles you have defined in the “Program Setup” section of this manual starting on page 37, and selected to be displayed in the Watch and Listen menus in the section “Editing Watch and Listen Lists” on page 43, up to a maximum of eight profiles per list.

To select a program, press the Ú or Û Menu Control button on the remote control to highlight the Watch or Listen program desired, then press the Watch or the Listen Ä button a second time. You have now selected that program; the on-screen display will go off, and the front panel will display the number of the program, the name of the source, Surround mode in use, and the present volume setting.

Setting the Volume Level

When the 5.0 is turned on, it will always be at the level set in the System Options menu (Figure OSD-10). The volume may then be raised or lowered with either the front panel

buttons 8 or the Volume +/buttons º on the remote control.

As the volume level is raised or lowered, a visual indicator will appear both on the front panel display (Figure FPD-6) and the on-screen display (Figure OSD-19) providing a graphic display of the volume level.
