TAKING PICTURES/VIDEO CLIPS

SETTING THE WHITE BALANCE

If the White Balance is set to match the light source, the camera reproduces colors more accurately.

 

Auto

Settings are automatically set by the camera

 

 

 

 

Cloudy

For recording under overcast, shady or twilight skies

 

 

 

 

Day light

For recording outdoors on a bright day

 

 

 

 

Fluorescent

For recording under fluorescent lighting

 

 

 

 

Tungsten

For recording under tungsten lighting

 

 

 

1.Turn the Mode dial to A/S/M (advanced) mode.

2.Press the MENU button.

3.Press the or button to select White Balance and then press the OK button.

4.Press the or button to set the white balance value.

5.Press the MENU button twice to close the menu window.

SETTING THE ISO SPEED

Change the ISO speed when shooting in dark places or when you want to shoot with a faster shutter speed.

1.Turn the Mode dial to A/S/M (advanced) mode.

2.Press the MENU button.

3.Press the or button to select ISO.

4.Press the or to set the the ISO value: AUTO, 50, 100 or 200.

5.Press the MENU button to close the menu window.

Note: Higher ISO speeds increase the image noise. To take clean images, use as low an ISO speed as possible.
