4. Battery Charging Precautions

IMPORTANT: To reduce the risk of serious injury, read these precautions and the label on the charger carefully before using. Lithium batteries store a large amount of energy and will vent fire or explode if mistreated.

4.1Battery Charging Safety

Do not probe charger with conductive objects.

Do not use the charger if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.

Charge the battery in temperatures above 41°F (5°C) and below 113°F (45°C).

When in use, keep the charger out of heat, high voltage and away from children.

Use only the supplied charger. Do not charge the battery over 24 hours.

Do not allow anything to cover the charger while in use.

Unplug the charger from its outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.

Do not store the charger in damp, wet or explosive environments.

Do not open the charger housing. Have repairs performed only at authorized locations.

Do not charge the battery near fire or in the sunlight.

Proper care will prevent serious damage to the charger.
