Periodic cleaning is required in order to maintain this scanner in good condition.
First, wipe away any dirt with a dry, soft cloth. If the dirt cannot be removed with a dry cloth, moisten a soft cloth with water, wring it out thoroughly, and then wipe away the dirt. If water is not sufficient to remove the dirt, wipe off the dirt with a mild detergent solution, then wipe the detergent away with water, and then wipe the area with a dry cloth until all moisture has been removed.
Important
❒Do not use volatile chemicals such as benzene or paint thinner to clean the scanner, and do not spray insect sprays, etc., on the scanner. Such chemicals could deform, discolor, or crack scanner components.
❒If there is any dust or dirt inside the scanner, wipe it away with a dry, clean cloth.
