8Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset jack on the side of the telephone. See Figure 4.

9Place the telephone against the base and push down so that the base locking tab slides into the slot at the top of the telephone. See Figure 9.

10Push in on the triangle at the bottom center of the base to lock the bottom of the telephone into place. See Figure 9.

11Plug the free end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and hang up the handset. See Figure 4.

12Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
