Before You Start

When using this product with a Pioneer component featuring an IP BUS input

%Select the IP BUS mode.

For more details, refer to the installation man- ual.

When using this product with a Pioneer component that does not feature an IP-BUS input, or another company’s product

%Select the STAND ALONE mode.

For more details, refer to the installation man- ual.

Resetting the microprocessor

Pressing RESET lets you reset the micropro- cessor to its initial settings.

The microprocessor must be reset under the following conditions:

!Prior to using this unit for the first time after installation

!When changing the mode switch setting

!If the unit fails to operate properly

!When strange or incorrect messages ap- pear on the display

Installing the battery

Slide the tray out on the back of the remote control and insert the battery with the plus (+) and minus (–) poles pointing in the proper di- rection.

!When using for the first time, pull out the film protruding from the tray.

WARNING

Keep the battery out of the reach of children. Should the battery be swallowed, immediately consult a doctor.

CAUTION

!Use only one CR2025 (3 V) lithium battery.

!Remove the battery if the remote control is not used for a month or longer.

!Do not recharge, disassemble, heat or dispose of the battery in fire.
