Playing Video CDs

Stopping playback

%Press g.

#When you stop Video CD playback (during PBC playback only) by pressing g, that location on the disc is memorized, enabling playback from that point when you play the disc again.

#To play back the disc again, touch f.

Pausing Video CD playback

Pause lets you temporarily stop disc playback.

%Press fduring playback.

The icon e is displayed and playback is paused, letting you view a still image.

#To resume playback at the same point that you turned pause on, press fagain.

Note

Depending on the disc and the playback location on the disc, the icon may be displayed, indicat- ing that still playback is not possible.

Frame-by-frame playback

This lets you move ahead one frame at a time during playback.

%Press rduring playback.

Each time you press r, you move ahead one frame.

#To return to normal playback, press f.

possible.

Slow motion playback
This lets you slow down playback speed.
1 Press and hold rduring playback.		Playing
# To return to normal playback, press f.
The icon	￿ is displayed, forward slow mo-
tion playback begins.
2 Press qor r to adjust playback		Video
speed during slow motion playback.
Each time you press qor rit changes the		CDs
speed in four steps in the following order:

1/16—1/8—1/4—1/2

Notes

!There is no sound during slow motion play- back.

!Depending on the disc and the playback loca-

tion on the disc, the icon may be displayed, indicating that slow motion playback is not possible.

!With some discs, images may be unclear dur- ing slow motion playback.

!Reverse slow motion playback is not possi- ble.

Specifying track

You can use the search function to specify a track to search for a desired track.

%Press 0–10 corresponding to a desired track number during playback.

Track number is displayed for eight seconds and playback starts from the selected track.
