CD operation / CD changer operation

Storing tracks with TPM

A track can only be stored while it is play- ing.

To store a track

press TPM for approx. 1 second, “TPM PROG” will appear in the display.

This track has been stored.

Switching TPM playback on/off

Press TPM briefly. The mode selected will appear briefly in the display (TPM ON/OFF).

If “TPM” is highlighted in the display, this means that TPM playback is active. All of the tracks on the CD stored in this operat- ing mode will be played. If you activate SCA (scan) as well, these tracks will be scanned.

TPM playback cannot be activated unless you have already stored tracks with the TPM function.

Deleting the TPM

You can delete the tracks stored with TPM. TPM tracks can be deleted with CLR only when they are playing.

Switch on TPM.

“TPM” will be highlighted in the dis- play.

In this case, “CLR” will appear below TPM.

If you would like to delete the track playing

press CLR for approx. 2 seconds, “TRCK CLR” will flash briefly in the dis- play.

If you would like to delete all of the tracks on the CD playing

press CLR for approx. 5 seconds, “DISC CLR” will flash briefly in the dis- play.

If you would like to delete all of the tracks on all of the CDs in the magazine in chang- er operation

press CLR for approx. 8 seconds, “ALL CLR” will flash briefly in the dis- play.

If you would like to delete the TPM and the CD names at the same time, refer to the section on “Deleting CD names/TPM with

DSC UPDATE”.

MIX

You can have the CD tracks played in ran- dom order. The MIX function is active when “MIX” is highlighted in the display.

You can choose the following MIX functions:

MIX CD

The tracks on the selected CD will be played in random order. The next disc will be se- lected in numerical order. MIX (random or- der) applies to the playback of the tracks.

MIX MAG (for changer operation only)

CDC A 08: All tracks on the CDs in the mag- azine will be played in random order.

CDC A 06 / 072: The CDs in the magazine are selected at random and then the tracks on the CD selected are played in random order.

MIX OFF

The Mix function is deactivated. Discs and titles will be selected in numerical order.

To alter the setting:

Press MIX briefly, the function selected will appear briefly in the display.
