Adjustment Procedure for Dolby Surround

Make the adjustments described below in order to reproduce Dolby Digital and DTS sound with greater accuracy.

Setting the Speakers

1 Check that Defeat mode is off (page 22). 2 Touch [SYS.] on the main source screen.

The SYSTEM selection screen is displayed.

3 Touch [i-Personalize].

The i-Personalize screen appears.

4 Touch [] of A.PROCESSOR.

The A.PROC list screen appears.

5 Touch [] of SPEAKER SELECT.

The SPEAKER SELECT screen appears.

6 Set the connected speaker by touching the respective [;] or [:] button.

FRONT1: OFF/FULL (Full Range)/TW (Tweeter)

FRONT2: OFF/ON

REAR: OFF/ON

CENTER: OFF/ON

SUBWOOFER: OFF/MONO/STEREO

7 Touch [RETURN] to return to the previous screen.

Set the speaker which is not connected to OFF.

Settings above can be carried out even when the speaker is set to OFF in “Speaker Setup” (page 48).

To use the subwoofer in MONO with PXA-H700 or PXA-H701 connected, connect the subwoofer to the subwoofer output terminal of PXA-H700 or PXA-H701.

Set MX Mode of the External Audio Processor

Before performing the operations below, set MX (Media Xpander) mode of the PXA-H700 to “AUTO” when the PXA-H700 is connected.

1 Check that Defeat mode is off.

2 Touch [SYS.] on the main source screen.

The SYSTEM selection screen appears.

3 Touch [i-Personalize].

The i-Personalize screen will appear.

4 Select ON or OFF of MX by touching [;] or [:] of

MEDIA XPANDER.

OFF: Turns off the MX effect of every music source.

ON: Turns on the specified MX mode.

5 Touch [] after setting to ON.

The Media Xpander setup screen appears.
