SELECTING THR ZONE PROGRAM

1)Select THR ZONE program using the PROGRAM SELECT keys and press ENTER.

The HEART RATE window will flash showing the default target heart rate of 100 beats per minute. Select your target heart rate (from the chart on page 26) using the ARROW KEYS and press ENTER. *NOTE: Target beats per minute is selected in intervals of 5

2)Select WEIGHT using the ARROW KEYS and press ENTER.

3)Select TIME using the ARROW KEYS and press ENTER or START to begin the program.

Notes:

1)There is a 4-minute warm-up built into this program at level 1 resistance.

2)After 4 minutes the resistance will automatically adjust to bring your heart rate within 5 beats of the target number you selected at the beginning of the program.

3)If there is no Heart Rate detected, the unit will not change resistance levels up or down.

4)If your Heart Rate is 25 beats over your Target Zone the program will shut down.

Program Profiles

Manual (EX-55, EX-65, EX-75)

Allows you to adjust the resistance level to your preference, without a preset program.

Intervals (ex-65, EX-75)

Improves your strength, speed and endurance by raising and lowering the resistance levels throughout your workout to involve your heart and other muscles.

Weight loss (EX-65, ex-75)

Promotes weight loss by raising and lowering the resistance level, while keeping you in your fat burning zone.

Rolling (ex-55, ex-65, EX-75)

Creates the feeling of moving up and down hills by gradually increasing and decreasing the resistance.

Valley (EX-55)

Reach your fitness goals by going down a valley and back up again.

Fat burn (EX-55)

Gradually increases resistance to get your body into the optimal workout zone.

Ramp (EX-55)

Increases resistance to simulate an uphill climb.

Fitness test (EX-55)

Push your limits and test your level of fitness.

Reverse train (EX-65, ex-75)

Program cues you to pedal forward and backwards for an exciting and challenging workout.

RANDOM (ex-55, ex-65, EX-75)

Provides even more work out variety by mixing up your resistance levels.

CUSTOM 1 (user program) (EX-65, EX-75)

Design and store your own custom exercise program.

CUSTOM 2 (user program) (ex-65, EX-75)

Design and store your own custom exercise program.

wALKING ( EX-75)

Walk your way to fitness by setting your distance goals.
