Attenuating the Input Signal

When the input level of the playing source is too high, the sounds will be distorted. If this happens, you need to attenuate the input signal level to prevent sound distortion.

• You have to make this setting for each source.

On the unit ONLY:

attenuator mode turns on (“INPUT ATT ON”) or

off (“INPUT ATT OFF”).

Turning Line Direct On and Off

You can enjoy the sound closer to original source by skipping the sound adjustments such as Midnight mode (see page 31), speaker output level adjustments (see page 37) and Parametric Equalizer (see page 37). You can only adjust the volume level while Line Direct is in use.

• You have to make this setting for each source.

Press LINE DIRECT.

Each time you press the button, Line Direct turns on and off.

When Line Direct turns on, “LINE DIRECT” appears in the main display.

Muting the Sound

From the remote control ONLY:

To restore the sound, press MUTING again so that “MUTING OFF” appears on the display for a while.

Turning MASTER VOLUME on the unit or pressing VOLUME +/– on the remote control also restores the sound.

If you turn on Line Direct, CC Converter (see page 22) is canceled.

Turning off Line Direct activates the sound adjustments previously selected such as Midnight mode, speaker output level adjustments and Parametric Equalizer.

If you turn off Line Direct while listening to an analog source, muting time* will be a little longer. (* The period during which no sound comes out.)
