Connecting video components

Turn off all components before making connections.

•Illustrations of the input/output terminals are typical examples. When you connect other components, refer also to their manuals since the terminal names actually printed on the rear vary among different components.

CAUTION:

If you connect a sound-enhancing device such as a graphic equalizer between the source components and this receiver, the sound output through this receiver may be distorted.

–DIGITAL 1 (VR) (coaxial): For VR (VDR)

–DIGITAL 2 (STB) (optical): For STB (Set Top Box)

–DIGITAL 3 (DVD) (optical): For DVD player

If you connect other components, change the digital input (DIGITAL IN) terminal setting correctly. See “Setting the digital input (DIGITAL IN) terminals—DIGITAL IN” on page 19.

•Select the correct digital input mode.
