Lights red while transmitting; lights green while receiving a sig- nal, or when the squelch is open.

i PTT SWITCH [PTT]

Push and hold to transmit; release to receive.

Appears when Low 2 or Low 1 is selected.

w AUDIBLE INDICATOR

Appears when the channel is in the ‘audible’ (unmute) condi- tion.

Appears when the specified 2/5-tone/BIIS code is received.

e COMPANDER INDICATOR

Appears when the compander function is activated.

r KEY LOCK INDICATOR

Appears during the key lock function ON.

t SCRAMBLER INDICATOR

Appears when the voice scrambler function is activated.

y BELL INDICATOR

Appears/blinks when the specific 2/5-tone/BIIS code is received, according to the programming.

u BATTERY INDICATOR

Appears or blinks when the battery power decreases to a speci- fied level.

i ALPHANUMERIC DISPLAY

Displays the operating channel number, channel names, Set mode contents, DTMF numbers, etc.
