Upon pressingKey #6, theStar Pilot'sGPSSetUp Screendisplays informationon the unitsof measure,compassbearingand the AUTO CPS mode.The Altitudemeasurements,when3D fixesareavailable.

Star Pilot operatesin a fuly automaticGPSMode.Wheneverpossible,four satellitefixesare usedfor themostaccurate3D positioningWhen.only threesatellites areavailable,theStar Pilot will provide2D latitudeandIongitude positioning.

The Star Pilot allowsyou to choosetheTime Offset from Universal Time Coordinated(UTC).to provideyou with an accuratedisplayof localtime (24 hourclock).To offsetthetime.usethe Up or Down Arrow sofikeysto positionthe cursorat Time Offset.Pressthe ENTR softkey.The Time Offset window will open,andyou needonly use the Up or Down Arrow sofikeysto increaseor decreasethe offsetby hourunits.PresstheENTR sofikeyto completethetime offsetcntry.

The Arrival Alarm mustbe engagedfor theStar Pilot to provide audioor visualnoticeof arrivalat a navigationaldestinationTo. set the Arrival Alarm on or off. usethe Up or Down Arrow softkeysto positionthedisplaycursoron ARRIVAL ALARM. PresstheENTR sofikey.UsetheArow'softkeysto positionthecursoron ENABLED (to tum on) or DISABLED (to turn off). PresstheENTR soflkey. WhentheArrivitl Alarm is engaged,theStar Pilot will provideaudio andvisualnoticewhen-vourboatis within .05nauticalmilesof your destination.

The Anchor Alann can be setto soundif your boatdrifis more than

.10nauticalmilesfrom thelocationyou setanchor.To settheAnchor Alarm on or off. usethe Up or Down Amow sofikeystclpositionthe displaycursoron ANCHOR ALRM. PresstheENTR softkey.Use the Arrow softkeysto positionthe cursoron ENABLED (to turn on) or DISABLED (to turn off). PresstheENTR softkey.
