9.2Changing Seat Angle/Changing Rear Seat Height

For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 2 on page 62.

If the wheelchair has 3° camber, the camber will need to be adjusted after completing this procedure. Refer toRefer to Determining/Setting Toe In/Toe Out on page 78.

When changing the seat angle/rear seat to floor height, the caster housing will have to be adjusted perpendicular to the floor. Refer to Removing/Installing/Repositioning the Caster Assemblies on page 82.

1.Fold the back down. Refer to Unfolding/Folding the Back on page 43.

2.Remove the rear wheels. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear Wheels on page 66.

3.Turn wheelchair upside down.

4.Remove the mounting screw and locknut that secures the camber tube clamp assembly to the height adjustment bar.

5.Repeat STEPS 4 - 5 for remaining side of wheelchair.

￿

CAUTION

While performing STEP 6, ensure to move camber tube clamp assembly evenly on both height adjustment bars. Moving one side faster than the other will result in the camber tube clamp assembly jamming between the height adjustment bars making it extremely difficult to adjust to desired mounting position.

It may be necessary to gently pry open the camber tube clamp using a screwdriver.

6.Slide camber tube clamp assembly to the desired mounting position on the height adjustment bar.

7.Secure camber tube clamp to height adjustment bar with mounting screw and locknut.

8.Repeat STEP 7 for remaining camber tube clamp. Tighten securely.

9.Install rear wheels. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear Wheels on page 66.

10.Unfold back. Refer to Unfolding/Folding the Back on page 43.
