Connecting to the network

The quality of communication depends on network radio reception. Large metal structures such as filing cabinets and other devices that radiate radio signals can affect reception. The vertical bar on the left side of the display shows you the strength of the radio signal at your present location. The higher the bar, the stronger the signal and the better the quality of your calls from that location.

The NetVision Data Phone can also cause radio interference to other devices. Use the phone only in areas designated by the system administrator.

If the phone cannot connect to the network, the phone displays 'No Network'. You cannot make or receive calls when disconnected from the network.

NOTE: When your NetVision Data Phone is disconnected from the network or out of range, the system will automatically forward all your calls to a system-programmed destination -- typically voice mail.
