ADVANCED FEATURES

Programming

The following will describe some features of your HM DECT phone for users who want to do more than simply make and answer calls.

If you have only one handset and base unit, and if you do not need to prevent unauthorized use of your HM DECT phone, you probably do not need the Advanced Features.

Change PIN Code

Due to the restriction for programming, your HM must be protected with user PIN. The default PIN is 0000. You can changed this PIN code, however, you must choose a PIN number which is easy to remember by you or write the PIN code secretly. The maximum digit for PIN is 8 digits (example 35575431).

1.Press OK/Menu button. PHONEBOOK is displayed.

2.Use DOWN button to scroll to BASE.

3.Press OK/Menu button.

4.Use DOWN button to scroll to the option CHANGE PIN.

5.Press OK/Menu button. The LCD shows PIN?

6.Enter the old 4 digits PIN number from the numeric keypad (Default PIN code is 0000).

7.Press OK/Menu button. The display shows NEW PIN.

8.Enter a new PIN number (max. 8 digits) from the numeric keypad.

9.Press OK/Menu button to confirm. The LCD shows

RETYPE.

10.Use numeric keypad to re-enter the new PIN.

11.Press OK/Menu to confirm.

12.Press TALK-OFF button to escape to the standby mode.

De-registering a handset

If you have more than one handset register to you base, you can de-register (remove subscription from your HM base) the other handset. If you have only one handset, you cannot de- register your own HM handset to its base.

1.Press OK/Menu button. PHONEBOOK is displayed.

2.Use DOWN button to scroll to REGISTRATION.

3.Press OK/Menu button. REGISTER is displayed.

4.Use DOWN button to scroll to DEL HS.

5.Press OK/Menu button. PIN? is displayed.

6.Use the numeric keys to enter the PIN code.

7.Press OK/Menu button. HANDSET 1 is displayed.

8.Press UP or DOWN button to select the handset you want to de-register and then press OK button to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep. The selected handset will emit tones when it is deregistered and will show NOT REG.

9.Press TALK-OFF button to escape to the standby mode.

Recall (Flash) time selection

If your phone is intended to be connected to a PABX or PSTN, the RECALL duration may be different. Your phone has a 5 preset Recall (FLash) time as: 80, 100, 180, 300 and 600 msec.

1.Press OK/Menu button. PHONEBOOK is displayed.

2.Use DOWN button to scroll to BASE.

3.Press OK/Menu button.

4.Use DOWN button to scroll to the option RECALL.

5.Press OK/Menu button. The display will show RECALL: X (X= Flash time 1 to 5).

6.Use UP or DOWN button to select your desired flash time.

7.Press OK/Menu button to confirm and exit to RECALL.

8.Press TALK-OFF button to escape to the standby mode.
