To dial, delete, or change entries

To dial a number

When any directory entry is displayed:

• If the phone is not in use, press PHONE (or SPEAKER) on the handset or SPEAKERPHONE on the base to dial the displayed number.

OR

If you have dial tone or are already on a call, press SELECT to dial the displayed number.

To delete an entry

When any directory entry is displayed, press DELETE to delete the displayed entry from the directory. Once deleted, an entry cannot be recovered.

To change an entry

When any directory entry is displayed (and the phone is not in use), press SELECT to modify the entry:

You are prompted to EDIT NUMBER. Press DELETE to erase digits then you can enter the cor- rect telephone number.You can use the ^button to move the cursor to the left and the Vbutton to move the cursor to the right. Press and hold PAUSE

to add a 3-second pause if necessary.You can also press REDIAL, then ^V to scroll to the previously dialed number from the redial list you want to store in the directory, then press SELECT.

Press SELECT.

You are now prompted to EDIT NAME. Press DELETE to erase characters, then use the dialing keys

to enter the correct name (see page 23).You can also use the ^button to move the cursor to the left and the Vbutton to move the cursor to the right.

Press SELECT.
