Names of callers will be displayed only if the information is provided by your local telephone company.

If the incoming telephone number exactly matches a telephone number in your directory, the name that appears on the screen will match the corresponding name as you entered it into your direc- tory.

For example, if Christine Smithcalls, her name will appear as Chris if this is how you entered it into your directory.

NOTE: The number shown by your caller ID will be in the format sent by the phone company. The phone company usually delivers ten-digit phone numbers (area code plus phone number). If the tele- phone number of the person calling does not exact- ly match a number in your directory, the name will appear as delivered by the phone company. For example if the phone company includes the area code and the directory number does not, the name will appear as delivered by the phone company.
