Making Calls

To put a call on hold

Press (HOLD/CLEAR).

Line on hold” is displayed.

The IN USE/CHARGE/HOLD indicator on the base unit flashes.

If you put a call on hold for more than 6 minutes, an alarm tone will sound. The call will be disconnected after a total of 10 minutes.

To release the hold

Lift the handset, or press or .

If another phone is connected on the same line (p. 53), you can also release the hold by lifting its handset.

To adjust the receiver volume (HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW) or speaker volume (6 levels) while talking

To increase, press Ñ.

To decrease, press Ö.

The display will return to the length of the call.

While using

Each time you press Ö or Ñ, the volume

level will change among 3 levels (HIGH, HIGH MEDIUM or LOW). Your phone comes from

the factory set to level MEDIUM.
