Greeting only: The answering system only plays Greeting onlyfor all calls.

Program this setting using either the base unit or one of the handsets.

*1 The default setting for Greeting1plays between “9:00 AM” and “4:59 PM”, and the default setting for Greeting2or Greeting onlyplays between “5:00 PM” and “8:59 AM”.

Important:

R Make sure the unit’s date and time setting is correct (page 16).

If you erase or do not record your own greeting message, the unit plays a pre-recorded greeting asking callers to leave a message.

If the greeting setting (page 54) is set to

Greeting onlyor Greeting1&Only, callers’ messages are not recorded and the unit plays a different pre-recorded greeting message asking callers to call again.

Resetting to a pre-recorded greeting message

If you want to use a pre-recorded greeting message once you record your own greeting message, you need to erase your own greeting message.
