The REMOTE menu consists of 2 menus. (1/2 and 2/2 menu)

TAPE END

: Repeat playback from the beginning to the end of

Select the action to perform when power is supplied via the DC IN

: Sets the unit to OPERATE OFF

 

 

OPE ON

: Sets the unit to OPERATE ON.

 

 

PLAY

: If a tape has been inserted, the VTR will go into the

 

 

PLAY mode. (AUTO PLAY)

OPERATION

 OFF

Turn ON/OFF the OPERATION LOCK.

LOCK

ON

OFF : Turns off the OPERATION LOCK and enables the buttons

 

 

on the main unit.

 

 

ON : VTR goes into the OPERATE LOCK mode. The buttons and

 

 

the slide switch on the main unit are inhibited. However,

 

 

OPERATE ON and menu operations are still possible.

 

 

Memo

 

 

Even when this setting is OFF, disabling the buttons on the main

 

 

unit while it is controlled via a remote controller connected to the 9

 

 

PIN REMOTE or SERIAL REMOTE terminal is possible, by setting

 

 

the LOCAL FUNCTION item of the REMOTE menu.

EJECT

: Only the EJECT button enabled.

 

 

STP + EJT : Only the STOP button and the EJECT button are ena-

If the OPERATION LOCK item of the SYSTEM (2/2) menu is set

 

 

as ON, the buttons on the main unit will be disabled regardless of

When remote controlling the unit via the 9 PIN REMOTE terminal,

Use this menu item to set the action to be performed when an FF/

FF/REW

: Sets the unit to execute FF/REW when a command is

 

 

 

received. This is the usual setting.

 

 

SEARCH : Sets the unit to go into the SEARCH state when a

 

 

 

command is received. Use this setting if the locate(cue

 

 

 

up) function does not work well.
