2 FUNCTION

RECORDINGFROMA COMPACT DISC

Recording is done on the side facing the cassette holder. Use type I (normal) tapes.

1 Insert a cassette.

@The side to be recorded on

2 Set the FUNCTION switch to CD.

For CSD-ES770, make sure that the 4 light of the OPE/BATT/DIR indicator is on. If it is not on, press the DIR button to turn it on.

3 Place a disc with the label facing up.

4 Press the REC button to start recording.

The PLAY button is depressed automatically. -

The REVERSE MODE button is also depressed (CSD-ES770 only).

5 Press the E I I PLAY/PAUSE button to start CD play.

Usable tapes

(-hetype I (normal) tapes. If you use type IV (metal) or type II (high/ CrOz) tapes, sound that has been already recorded may not be erased completely.

You cannot change the setting of the FUNCTION switch during recording.

If the erasure prevention tab on a cassette is broken off, the REC

button cannot be depressed.

. Adjusting the output volume and sound does not affect the recorded sound.

When recording near a television, noise may be recorded. Move the unit further away from the television.
