Installing Additional Memory

If your printer has the HP PS/PCL5 Kit upgrade installed, you may install up to 64 MB of additional memory which is available for purchase as an accessory (part number F1457B).

Note: The HP PS/PCL5 Kit upgrade comes with the HP Business Inkjet 2250

printer. It can also be purchased as an accessory (part number C5935A/C5935C). The module can be installed in the EIO slot on either side of the printer.

1.Put on an anti-static wrist strap and clip the other end to a grounded metal piece.

2.Switch OFF your printer and remove all cables from the printer.

3.Loosen the two screws on either side of the printer to remove the HP PS/PCL5 Kit upgrade (the module can be installed in either side of the printer).

4.Insert the SIMM into the slot.

5.Replace the module and fasten the screws.

6.Reconnect all cables to the printer and power ON the printer.
