Basic Playback—Continued

Notes:

You can use the Repeat function to play MP3 tracks repeatedly (see page 58).

You can use the Random function to play MP3 tracks randomly (see page 59).

During random playback, the remote controller’s arrow [], [ ], [], [ ] buttons cannot be used with the Disc Navigator.

You can also use the Disc Navigator to create a playlist of MP3 tracks (see page 55).

Viewing a Slideshow of JPEG Images

This section explains how to display a slideshow of JPEG images on your TV.

Load a JPEG disc (page 46).

 

 

Depending on the type of JPEG disc,

 

either the first nine pictures appear in

 

thumbnail-size or the Disc Navigator

 

appears.

Enter

Use the Up and Down []/[ ] buttons to select images and subfolders in the open folder.

A thumbnail-size preview and file size and creation date information for the currently selected image is displayed.

To open a folder in the Track list, press the [Enter] button. To close a folder (i.e., move back up the directory tree), press the [Return] button. Alternatively, select the item at the top of the Track list and press the Play [ ] or [Enter] button.

To get back to the root level, press the [Top Menu] button. Alternatively, select the item at the top of the Folder list and press the Play [ ] or [Enter] button.

Initially, the Folder list shows all of the folders at the root level. Pressing the Play [ ] button at this point will start a slideshow of all images in all folders in hierarchical order.

The RDV-1.1 numbers folders and files in hierarchical order.

To start a slideshow, select an image in the Track list, and then press the Play [ ] or [Enter] but- ton.

Subsequent images in the same folder are displayed in order, with each image being displayed for five seconds. To display an image for longer, press the Pause [] button. Press the Play [ ] button to resume.

To start a slideshow consisting of all of the images in a folder, select the folder in the Track list (not the folder at the top of the list), and then press the Play [ ] button.
