Controlling Other Components

In addition to controlling the RDV-1.1, the remote con- troller can also be used to control your TV and VCR. To do this you need to enter the appropriate control codes for your TV and VCR. The remote controller can also learn individual commands from another remote control- ler (see page 92).

Use the number buttons to enter the 4-digit remote control code. If the code is accepted, the Tx/ Learn indicator flashes slowly twice.

If the Tx/Learn indicator flashes quickly three times, the code has not been accepted, in which case you should try again from step 2.

Notes:

The learning mode will be cancelled if you don’t press any buttons for 30 seconds.

In some cases, not all of the remote controller’s but- tons may work as expected.

Individually learnt commands for the TV and VCR modes (see page 92) are deleted when a new remote control code is entered.

Entering Remote Control Codes

Entering the appropriate remote control code for your TV and VCR will allow you to control them with the RDV-1.1’s remote controller. You’ll need to perform this procedure twice to enter the codes for both your TV and VCR.
