Pre-wired installations:When wiring the door control to the garage door opener makesure you use the same wires that are connected to the door control.

1.Run the white and red/white wire from the door control to the garagedoor opener. Attach the wire to the wall and ceiling with the staples (not applicable for gang box or pre-wired installations). Do not piercethe wire with the staple as this may

cause a short or an open circuit.

Strip wire 7/16" (11 mm)

 

2.Strip 7/16 inch (11 mm) of insulation from the other end of the wire nearthe garage door opener.

3.Connect the wire to the red and white terminals on the garage

door opener.

Install The ProtectorSystem®

IMPORTANTINFORMATIONABOUTTHE SAFETYREVERSING SENSOR

The safety reversing sensor must be connected and aligned correctly before the garagedoor opener will move in the down direction.

The sending sensor (with an amber LED)transmits an invisible light beam to the receiving sensor (with a green LED). If an obstruction breaksthe light beam while the door is closing, the door will stop and reverseto the full open position, and the garage door opener lights will flash 10 times.

NOTE:For energy efficiency the garage door opener will enter sleep mode when the door is fully closed. Thesleep mode shuts the garage door opener down until activated. The sleep mode is sequenced with the garage door opener light bulb; as the light bulb turns off the sensor LEDs will turn off and whenever the garage door opener lights turn on the sensor LEDs will light. The garage door opener will not go into the sleep mode until the garage door opener has completed 5 cycles upon power up.

Besure power is NOTconnected to the garagedoor opener BEFOREinstalling the safety reversing sensor.

To prevent SERIOUSINJURY or DEATHfrom a closing garage door:

Correctly connect and align the safety reversingsensor. This required safety device MUST NOTbe disabled.

Install the safety reversing sensor so beam is NO HIGHER than 6" (15 cm) above garagefloor.

Sensors are installed inside the garage,one on either side of the door.

Sensors are facing each other with the lensesaligned and the receivingsensor lens does not receivedirect sunlight.

Sensors are no more than 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor and the light beam is unobstructed.
