0Turn the steam knob clockwise (Fig. 10) as far as it will go, to the position , to stop the water running out.

The appliance now displays

«TURNING OFF

PLEASE WAIT...» and switches itself off.

6.5Switching on the machine

Each time before switching on, make sure there is water in the water tank and replenish if necessary. The machine requires water for the automatic rins-

ing cycles that are carried out each time the appliance is switched on or off.

3Immediately after being switched on the machine runs through a set-up cycle. The noises occurring are per- fectly normal.

6.6Switching off the coffee machine

0Switch the machine off with the "On/ Off" key (Fig. 11).

The machine carries out a rinsing cycle (display indication «RINSING PLEASE WAIT…») and turns off.

3If you will not be using the machine for a longer period of time, after switching off the "On/Off" key , you should also switch off the main switch at the back (Fig. 8).

After putting the machine into opera- tion for the first time, or when using a different water quality, you should set
