Para evitar lesión personal o daños materiales, observe lo siguiente:

1.No fría con grasa en el horno. La grasa puede sobre- calentarse y ser peligrosa de manipular.

2.No cocine ni recaliente huevos enteros o con una yema no rota usando energía de microondas. Puede haber acumulación de presión y reventar. Perfore la yema con el tenedor o un cuchillo antes de cocinar.

3.Perfore la cáscara de las papas, tomates y alimentos similares antes de cocinarlos con energía microondas. Cuando la cáscara es perforada, el vapor escapa uni- formemente.

4.No haga funcionar el horno sin tener alimentos en su interior.

5.Use solamente palomitas de maíz en envases diseñados y etiquetados para uso en microondas. Las palomitas de maíz comienzan a reventar en distintos momentos dependiendo de los vatios del horno. No continúe calentando después de que han dejado de reventar. Las palomitas se quemarán. No deje el horno sin supervisión.

6.No use termómetros regulares de cocina en el horno. La mayoría de los termómetros de cocina contienen mercurio y pueden causar un arco eléctrico, mal funcionamiento o daño al horno.

7.No use utensilios metálicos en el horno.

8.Nunca use papel, plástico u otros materiales com- bustibles que no estén destinados para cocinar con ellos.

9.Cuando cocine con papel, plástico u otros materiales combustibles, siga las recomendaciones del fabricante sobre el uso del producto.

10.No use toallas de papel que contengan nilón u otra fibra sintética. Las fibras sintéticas calentadas pueden derretirse y encender el papel.

11.No caliente bolsas de plástico ni envases sellados en el horno. El líquido o el alimento pueden expandirse rá- pidamente y causar la rotura del envase o de la bolsa. Perfore o abra el envase o la bolsa antes de cocinar.

12.Para evitar el mal funcionamiento de marcapasos, consulte a su médico o al fabricante del marcapaso respecto a los efectos de la energía de microondas en el mismo.
