Cleaning and Care

Special instructions for control buttons

The controls may change or become discolored if not cleaned regularly, clean soiled areas immediately.

Do not use a stainless steel cleaner on the controls.

￿Press the On/Off button on the top of the ventilation system.

The vent will rise.

The fan will start at power level 2.

￿Press and hold the 0/1 button until the fan turns off.

Grease filters

The reusable metal grease filters remove solid particles from the vented kitchen air (grease, dust, etc). This helps keep the ventilation system clean.

The grease filters should be cleaned every 3 - 4 weeks, otherwise cleaning will become more difficult.

￿A dirty filter is a fire hazard.

￿At the upper edge, push the grease filter down until you can pull it forward, then up and out.

Hold the filter securely to prevent it from falling and damaging the cooktop.

The ventilation system cannot be operated when the filters are removed.
