YOUR SAFETY FIRST

The Sears Kenmore Microwave Oven, though simple to use, is not a toy. Respect it as an electric cooking

appliance. Become familiar with microwave energy, its uses and limitations.

PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY

(a)DO NOT AFFEMPT to operate this oven with the door open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.

(b)DO NOT PLACE any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.

(c)DO NOT OPERATE the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the:

( I ) DOOR (bent)

(2)HINGES AND LATCHES (broken or loosened)

(3)DOOR SEALS AND SEALING SURFACES

(d)THE OVEN SHOULD NOT BE ADJUSTED OR REPAIRED I:IY ANYONE EXCEPT PROPERLY QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.

IMPORTANT--FOR PROPER AND SAFE USE OF YOUR OVEN

The oven must be level.

The glass tray must be in the oven during cooking.

The metal rack must be removed from the oven when the rack is not used for cooking.

The oven should be thoroughly checked by a trained service technician, should it be dropped or damaged,

before it is operated again.

The electrical power cord must be kept dry and must not be pinched or crushed in any way.

The oven has several built-in safety switches to make sure the power remains off when the door is open. DO NOT try to defeat these switches.

DON'TS

DO NOT attempt to operate this oven with the door open.

DO NOT run the oven empty without food in it.

DO NOT operate the oven empty with the temperature probe plugged in.

DO NOT run the oven empty with the Metal Rack in it.

DO NOT use browning dishes on Metal Rack.

DO NOT use foil or metal containers on the Metal Rack.

DO NOT allow the temperature probe sensor to touch the sides, bottom or door of the oven when it is in use.

DO NOT use the temperature probe in a regular oven.

DO NOT store burnable material, such as food, in your microwave oven.

DO NOT use this microwave oven for commercial purposes. This Sears Kenmore Microwave Oven is made for

household use only.
