Battery will not charge

Loss of drive

CAUSE

li Bad battery celt(s),

2!i Poor cable connections,

3! Faulty regulator (if so equipped),

4i Faulty alternator,

li Freewheel control in "DISENGAGED" position.,

2i Debris on steering plate (if equipped),,

3_ Motion drive belt worn, damaged, or broken,

CORRECTION

1Replace battery,,

2Check!clean all connections,

3Replace regulator.

4Replace alternator

1Place freewheel control in "ENGAGED" position°

2See "CLEANING" in the maintenance section_

3Replace motion drive belt,,

Engine "backfires" when turninq

engine "OFF"

Engine dies when tractor is shifted into reverse

4! Air trapped in transmission during shipment or servicing,

5_ Axle key missing,,

11 Engine throttle control not sel

between half and full speed (fast) position before stopping engine

Reverse operation system (ROS) is not "ON" while mower or other

attachment is engaged°

4Purge transmission°

5Install axle key at rear wheel See "TO REMOVE WHEEL" in the Service and Adjustments section_

1Move throttle control between half and full speed (fast) position before stopping engine,

1Turn ignition key to ROS "ON" position, See Operation section°
