NOTE: You may now roll your riding mower off the skid. Follow the appropriate instruction below to remove the riding mower from the skid.

WARNING: Before starting, read, un- derstand and follow all instructions in the Operation section of this manual. Be sure riding mower is in a well-ventilated area. Be sure the area in front of riding mower is clear of other people and objects.

TO ROLL RIDING MOWER OFF SKID (See Operation section for location and function of controls)

1.Raise deck lift lever to its highest position.

2.Release parking brake by depressing clutch/brake pedal.

3.Engage freewheel control. See “TO TRANSPORT” in the operation section of this manual.

4.Roll riding mower forward off skid.

CHECK TIRE PRESSURE

The tires on your riding mower were overin- flated at the factory for shipping purposes. Correct tire pressure is important for best cutting performance.

Reduce tire pressure to PSI shown on tires.

CHECK DECK LEVELNESS

For best cutting results, mower housing should be properly leveled. See “TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING” in the Service and Adjustments section of this manual.

CHECK FOR PROPER POSITON OF MOWER DRIVE BELT

See the figure that is shown for replacing the mower drive belt in the service and adjust- ment section of this manual. Verify that the belt is routed correctly.

CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM

After you learn how to operate your riding mower, check to see that the brake is oper- ating properly. See “TO ADJUST BRAKE”

CHECKLIST

Before you operate your new riding mower, we wish to assure that you receive the best performance and satisfaction from this Quality Product.

Please review the following checklist:

All assembly instructions have been completed.

No remaining loose parts in carton.

Battery is properly connected.

Seat is adjusted comfortably and tight- ened securely.

All tires are properly inflated. (For ship- ping purposes, the tires were overinflated at the factory).

Be sure mower deck is properly leveled side-to-side/front-to-rear for best cutting results. (Tires must be properly inflated for leveling).

Check mower belt. Be sure it is routed properly around pulleys and inside all belt keepers.

Check wiring. See that all connections are still secure and wires are properly clamped.

Before driving riding mower, be sure free- wheel control is in “transmission engaged” position (see “TO TRANSPORT” in the

Operation section of this manual). While learning how to use your riding mower, pay extra attention to the following important items:

Engine oil is at proper level.

Fuel tank is filled with fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline.

Become familiar with all controls, their location and function. Operate them before you start the engine.

Be sure brake system is in safe operating condition.

Be sure Operator Presence System and Reverse Operation System (ROS) are working properly (See the Operation and Maintenance sections in this manual).

AJUSTE DEL FRENTE A LA PARTE POSTERIOR

IMPORTANTE: La plataforma debe estar nivelada de lado a lado.

Para obtener los mejores resultados de corte, la carcasa de la cortadora de césped se debe ajustar de modo que el frente esté aproxima- damente de 1/8” a 1/2” más abajo que la parte posterior cuando la cortadora de césped esté en su posición más alta.

Revise el ajuste del lado derecho de la cortadora de césped. Mida la distancia “F” directamente en frente y detrás del mandril en la orilla inferior de la carcasa de la cortadora de césped conforme se muestra.

1.Estacione la cortadora de césped sobre una superficie nivelada.

2.Accione el freno de estacionamiento.

3.Baje la cortadora de césped a su posición más baja.

4.Retire la cubierta del mandril desde la plataforma de la cortadora de césped.

5.Retire la placa del motor posterior de la unidad.

6.Retire la sujeción de la cinta posterior de la unidad.

7.Enrolle con cuidado la cinta sobre la parte superior del mandril de la cuchilla de la cortadora de césped.

8.Retire la cinta de las poleas guía.
