If the machine is to be inoperative for a period longer than 30 days, prepare for storage as follows.

Clean the engine and the entire unit thoroughly.

Lubricate all lubrication points. Wipe the entire machine with an oiled rag to protect the painted metal surfaces.

Refer to the engine manual for correct engine storage instructions. The engine must be completely drained of fuel to prevent gum deposits from forming on essential carburetor parts, fuel lines and fuel tanks.

It is not necessary to remove the battery from the tractor for storage. However, clean the top of the battery and make sure it has full charge.

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before storing the tractor.

Store unit in a clean, dry area.

NOTE: When storing any type of power equipment in an unventilated or metal storage shed, care should be taken to rustproof the equipment. Using a light oil or silicone, coat the equipment, especially any chains, springs, bearings and cables.

NOTE: Recharge the battery before returning it to service after storage. Even if the tractors starts, the engine charging system may not bring the battery upto a full charge, unless it is recharged.
