5.1.10Check tire pressures:

Service Interval: 40 hrs.

a)Stop engine and remove key.

b)Inflate all four tires to 13 psi (90 kPa).

5.1.11Check battery electrolyte level:

Service Interval: 40 hrs.

a)Stop engine and remove key.

b)Tilt seat up.

c)Remove vent caps from battery. Fill with water (distilled is recommended) to bottom of vent wells and replace vent caps.

d)See Assembly Section 3.8, for servicing a new battery.

5.1.12Check condition of belts:

Service Interval: 40 hrs.

a)Stop engine and remove key.

b)Check under engine deck to check pump drive belt.

c)Remove left and right belt shields on deck and lift up floor pan to inspect deck drive belt.

d)See Sections 5.2.3 and 5.2.4, for belt adjustment.

5.1.13Lubricate grease fittings:

Service Interval: Refer to chart.

a)Stop engine and remove key.

b)Lubricate fittings with one to two pumps of SAE No. 2 multi-purpose gun grease.

Refer to the following chart for fitting locations and lubrication schedule.
