BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE

Check Oil Level: Note: The engine was filled with oil at the factory.

Oil Type: SAE30 Engine oil, classified for service - ‘SF’ minimum.

Fuel Type: Always use clean, fresh unleaded petrol. Purchase fuel in quantities that can be used within 30 days. Never mix oil with petrol. For added engine protection, Briggs and Stratton recommend the use of their fuel additive which is available from authorised Briggs and Stratton Service dealers.

Check Fuel Level: Clean around the fuel filler cap before removing it. Do not overfill the tank. Allow 6mm minimum of tank space for expansion.

IMPORTANT: The fuel filler cap must be secured to prevent fuel leakage during operation.

Check Tyres: Check the air pressure in the tyres. Incorrect pressure can cause the unit to ride badly and may prevent the cutterdeck from cutting level.
