Installing the 3C882 Software

To install the 3C882 ISDN modem software:

1Insert the 3ComImpact IQ Windows & DOS Installation Diagnostic Utilities diskette into an available ﬂoppy drive.

2If you are using Windows 95, select Run from the Start menu. If you are using Windows 3.x, select Run from the File menu. In the Run dialog box shown in Figure 3-2, type:

a:\setup

3Click OK.

After the conﬁguration program is copied to the hard disk., the readme ﬁle opens. Review the information and then close the ﬁle. A message conﬁrms installation is complete.

If you are running Windows 3.x, a message box appears and asks you whether you want to install a COM port enhancement driver for data transfer rates up to 115.2 Kbps. This driver will replace your existing COM port driver.
