•Small animals can chew the power cables and water hoses. Risk of electric shock and danger of water damage! Keep small animals away from the washing machine.
2Disposal
Dispose the packing material!
Dispose of your washing machine's packaging correctly. All the packag- ing materials used are harmless to the environment and can be recy- cled.
•Plastic parts are marked with standard international abbreviations:
>PE< | for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wrapping material |
>PS< | for polystyrene, e.g. padding material (always |
>POM< | for polyoxymethylene, e.g. plastic clips |
•Cardboard packaging is manufactured from recycled paper and should be deposited in the waste paper collection for recycling.
Dispose the old appliance!
When you finally put your appliance out of operation,
please bring it to your nearest recycling centre or to your dealer.
2Environmental Tips
•You do not need to use a pre wash cycle or soak for washing with av- erage soiling. This saves detergent, water and time (and protects the environment).
•When loaded to the capacities indicated the washing machine is es- pecially efficient.
•For small loads, use only one half to two thirds of the recommended quantity of detergent.

•It is often possible to wash without using softener. Give it a try! If you use a drier, your washing will be soft and fluffy even without a softener.
•For medium to high water hardness (from hardness range II, see “De- tergents and Conditioners”) you should use water softener. The detergent can then always be dosed as for hardness range I (= soft).
