a. If you use a shielded cable, connect the shield to a chassis connector pin on the 44-pin connector. Do not connect the other end of the shield.

Note: If you use the optional E2261-61601 cable, you must remove the cable hood if you install the E2261A in either of the two internal slots of the E2251A Carrier. The figure on the next page shows the cable wiring for making your own cable.
