The CU 4000 charger has been designed specifically for charging the BP 4000
Battery Pack and will not charge any other type of rechargeable batteries.
All BP 4000 Battery Packs are delivered uncharged. Therefore, you will need to
charge each new BP 4000 before using it. (Refer to section 4.5 Initial Charging
Cycle.)
Each charging slot features two LEDs that indicate the current operating status of the re-
spective charging slot (">…<" marks an LED flashing in the indicated color):

charged; the charging cycle
is completed.

red >orange< The BP 4000 is being
charged, and a recovery
cycle is recommended.
red >green< The BP 4000 is being
charged and the RECOVER
key is being pressed.
