Each cable/antenna tends to have a unique Distance-To-FaultDTF “Signature” because differing cable electrical lengths, cable types, dielectric thickness variations, and the posi- tions of components connectors, adapters, and lightning arresters will cause different re- flections at differing positions in the transmission line. Variations in the “signature” between maintenance intervals offer a good indication of damage or damage causing condi- tions
