Ansluta med FireWire

Datorn har en FireWire 400- och en FireWire 800-port (H). Med FireWire kan du enkelt ansluta och koppla från externa höghastighetsenheter, som DV-kameror och hårddiskar, utan att starta om datorn.

Du kan ansluta en vanlig 6-stifts FireWire-enhet direkt till FireWire 400-porten (H). Du kan använda en 9-till-6-stifts FireWire-kabel till att ansluta enheten till FireWire 800- porten (H). FireWire-enheter med 9 stift kan du ansluta direkt till FireWire 800-porten och få en ännu snabbare anslutning. Bägge portarna strömförsörjer anslutna enheter, så det behövs ingen extra elkontakt.

Här följer några exempel på vad du kan göra med FireWire:

ÂAnsluta en DV-kamera och samla in, överföra och redigera video direkt på datorn med program som iMovie HD och Final Cut Express.

ÂAnsluta en Apple iSight-kamera och använd iChat AV, som följer med datorn, så kan du ha videosamtal med vänner och familj över en bredbandsanslutning till Internet.
