Använda USB-enheter (Universal Serial Bus)

Till PowerBook-datorns två USB 2.0-portar (d), kallas också höghastighets-USB eller Hi- Speed USB, kan du ansluta många olika typer av externa enheter, däribland skrivare, bildläsare, digitalkameror, spelkonsoller, styrspakar, tangentbord och diskettenheter. USB 2.0-portarna är kompatibla med tidigare USB-enheter. I de flesta fallen, kan du ansluta och koppla loss USB-enheter medan datorn är igång. När du har anslutit enheten är den klar att användas. Du behöver inte starta om eller konfigurera om datorn.

Om du vill använda en USB-enhet med datorn behöver du bara ansluta enheten till datorn. Datorn upptäcker nyanslutna enheter automatiskt och läser in den programvara som fungerar med enheten.

Obs! Om datorn inte kan hitta rätt programvara när du ansluter en USB-enhet kan du antingen installera programvaran som levererades med enheten eller följa anvisningarna på skärmen och använda Internet för att hitta, hämta och installera rätt programvara.

Förstå USB-enheter och batteriet

Du kan använda USB-enheter, t.ex. styrspakar och tangentbord, som får sin ström från USB-anslutningen och inte från en separat nätadapter. Sådana USB-enheter kan dock göra att PowerBook-batteriet laddas ur fortare. Om du använder enheten under en längre tid är det bra om du ansluter PowerBook-datorn till nätadaptern.
