Så här testar du din Internetinställning:

1Öppna Internetanslutning i mappen Program.

2Klicka på symbolen Internt modem om det behövs.

3Ange ditt telefonnummer för uppringning, kontonamnet och lösenordet om det behövs.

4Klicka på Anslut.

Internetanslutning ringer upp din Internetleverantör och etablerar en anslutning.

Gör så här om du vill att anslutningen ska ske automatiskt när du startar ett TCP/IP- program (till exempel webbläsare eller e-post):

1Klicka på PPP-alternativ på fliken PPP i Nätverksinställningar.

2Markera kryssrutan "Anslut automatiskt när det behövs".

3Klicka på OK och sedan på Utför.

Ansluta via DSL- eller kabelmodem eller lokalt nätverk

Om du ansluter till Internet via ett DSL- eller kabelmodem eller via ett lokalt Ethernetnätverk, frågar du din Internetleverantör eller nätverksadministratör om hur du ställer in din Internetanslutning:

ÂManuellt: Manuell inställning innebär att leverantören eller nätverksadministratören ger dig en fast IP-adress och andra nätverksuppgifter som du anger i nätverksinställningarna.

ÂMed DHCP-protokoll (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): DHCP innebär att en DHCP-server automatiskt ställer in datorn.
