The List Panel

The List panel contains six fields:

Explanation

 

 

Recording

Determines whether the Log Server records log events for

 

this KH1508i / KH1516i or not. If the Recording checkbox is

 

checked, the field displays Recording, and log events are

 

recorded. If the Recording checkbox is not checked, the field

 

displays Paused, and log events are not recorded.

 

Note: Even though a KH1508i / KH1516i is not the currently

 

selected one, if its Recording checkbox is checked, the Log

 

Server will still record its log events.

 

 

Address

This is the IP Address or DNS name that was given to the

 

KH1508i / KH1516i when it was added to the Log Server (see

 

Configure, page 119).

 

 

Port

This is the Port number assigned to the KH1508i / KH1516i

 

(see Configure, page 119).

 

 

Connection

If the Log Server is connected to the KH1508i / KH1516i, this

 

field displays Connected.

 

If it is not connected, this field displays Waiting. This means

 

that the Log Server's MAC address has not been set properly.

 

It needs to be set on the Service Configuration page of the

 

Administrator Utility (see page 69).

 

 

Days

This field displays the number of days that the KH1508i /

 

KH1516i's log events are to be kept in the Log Server's

 

database before expiration (see Configure, page 119).

 

 

Description

This field displays the descriptive information given for the

 

KH1508i / KH1516i when it was added to the Log Server (see

 

Configure, page 119).

 

 

The Event Panel

The lower panel displays log events for the currently selected KH1508i / KH1516i. Note that if there are more than one KH1508i / KH1516i units, even though they aren't currently selected, if their Recording checkbox is checked, the Log Server records their log events and keeps them in its database.
