Heading | Description |

Username | A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 characters is allowed. |

|
Password | A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 characters is allowed. |
| Note: For Local Console logins, only |
| used in the password. You will be unable to log in if the password |
| contains characters other than these. Remote login passwords do |
| not have this restriction. |
|
|
Confirm Password | To be sure there is no mistake in the password, you are asked to |
| enter it again. The two entries must match. |
|
|
Description | Additional user information that you may wish to include. |
|
|
Admin | Enabling this gives the user Administrator level access to the |
| KH1508i / KH1516i. All permissions are granted. (See |
| Permissions, in this table.) |
|
|
User | Enabling this gives the user User level access to the KH1508i / |
| KH1516i. Windows Client, Power Manager, and Java Client |
| permissions are granted. (See Permissions, in this table.) |
|
|
Select | This button is automatically enabled if the permission choices |
| selected by the Administrator (in the panel just below) do not |
| match the default access level choices for Admin or User. |
|
|
Permissions | These are used together with the Select radio button to set up |
| permissions that differ from the defaults for Admin and User. |
| 1. Checking Administration gives a User administration privileges, |
| which allows him to set up and modify the KH1508i / KH1516i's |
| Administration page settings. |
| 2. Checking Windows Client allows a user to access the KH1508i |
| / KH1516i via the Windows Client software. By default, all |
| users may access the KH1508i / KH1516i via the Windows |
| Client software. |
| 3. Checking Log allows a User to view and query the log file. The |
| Log and Log Server buttons appear on the Main web page of |
| Users who have Log permission (see the screenshot on |
| |
| 4. Checking Power Manager allows a User to connect to Power |
| on the Net™ devices. The PON button appears on the Main |
| web page of Users who have Power Manager permission (see |
| |
| 5. Checking Java client allows a User to access the KH1508i / |
| KH1516i via the Java Client software. |
| 6. Checking Force to Grayscale, allows a User to change the |
| remote display for all users to grayscale. This can speed up I/O |
| transfer in low bandwidth situations. The default is Disabled. |
