Local Operation

Overview

The VM1616T can be configured and operated locally via the front panel pushbuttons, or remotely over a standard TCP/IP connection via a Browser graphical user interface (GUI). Local front panel operation is discussed in this chapter. Over-IP (and Telnet) operation is discussed in Chapter 4, Remote Operation.

Front Panel Operation

The VM1616T features front panel pushbuttons and an LCD display panel for convenient configuration and operation at the local site. This allows you to perform operations such as selecting which source displays on which display, configuring the IP port and serial port, adjusting audio and video levels, and setting security information.

Basic Navigation

The VM1616T’s front panel display operation is intuitive and convenient. Please note the following operation conventions:

ŠUse the MENU pushbutton to cycle through the Main Screen options.

ŠUse the PROFILE pushbutton to cycle through the profiles (input and output connection).

ŠUse the ESC pushbutton to go back a level, return to the Main screen, or exit.

ŠUse the ENTER pushbutton to select options and confirm operations.

ŠUse the In / Out dials to cycle forwards or backwards through numbered options.
