EQUIPMENT LI MITATIONS
To avoid phys ical an d equipm ent damag e when using the ATN
NVM-14, carefully r ead and unde rstand the following sa fety pre-
cautions.
• The equi pment requ ires some night li ght (moon light, st arlight,
etc.) to operate. The level of performance depen ds upon the level
of light.
• Night li ght is reduced by passing cloud c over, while operating
under trees, in building shadows, etc.
• The equipment is le ss effective v iewing into shad ows and other
darkened areas.
• The equipment is les s effective thr ough rain, fog, sle et, snow or
smoke.
• The equipment will not “see” through dense smoke.
• Adjust vehicul ar speed to preve nt overdrivin g the range of vi ew
when conditions of possible reduction or loss of vision exist.
