CurrentServerTimedisplaysthecurrentdateandtime(24hclock).Thetimecanbedisplayedin12hclockinthetextoverlay(see
below).
Tochangethedateandtimesettings,selectthepreferredTimemodeunderNewServerTime:
•Synchronizewithcomputertime–Setsdateandtimeaccordingtothecomputer’sclock.Withthisoption,dateand
timearesetonceandwillnotbeupdatedautomatically.
•SynchronizewithNTPServer–ObtainsdateandtimefromanNTPserver.Withthisoption,dateandtimesettingsare
updatedcontinuously.ForinformationonNTPsettings,seeNTPCongurationonpage41.
IfusingahostnamefortheNTPserver,aDNSservermustbecongured.SeeDNSCongurationonpage41.
•Setmanually–Allowsyoutomanuallysetdateandtime.
IfusinganNTPserver,selectyourTimezonefromthedrop-downlist.Ifrequired,checkAutomaticallyadjustfordaylightsaving
timechanges.

BasicTCP/IPSettings

TheAxisproductsupportsIPversion4andIPversion6.Bothversionscanbeenabledsimultaneously,andatleastoneversion
mustalwaysbeenabled.
IPv4AddressConguration
Bydefault,theAxisproductissettouseIPv4(IPversion4)andtoobtaintheIPaddressautomaticallyviaDHCP.TheIPv4settingsare
conguredunderSystemOptions>Network>T CP/IP>Basic.
DHCP(DynamicHostCongurationProtocol)allowsnetworkadministratorstocentrallymanageandautomatetheassignmentof
IPaddresses.DHCPshouldonlybeenabledifusingdynamicIPaddressnotication,oriftheDHCPcanupdateaDNSserver.Itis
thenpossibletoaccesstheAxisproductbyname(hostname).
IfDHCPisenabledandtheproductcannotbeaccessed,runAXISIPUtilitytosearchthenetworkforconnectedAxisproducts,orreset
theproducttothefactorydefaultsettings(seepage48)andthenperformtheinstallationagain.
TouseastaticIPaddress,checkUsethefollowingIPaddressandspecifytheIPaddress,subnetmaskanddefaultrouter.
